The present society and the economic and political scenario in which we are inserted, forces the scientists, professionals and experts as well as the institutions to integrate into the society of knowledge. This means a society in which the basic tools are precisely the knowledge and the level of organized information. Therefore, research and exploration of new scientific horizons constitute major features of this global community. NEUROINNOVATION represents the commitment for research, the continuous search of scientific knowledge, mainly through striving for excellence in biomedical research and its clinical impact. Even though, scientific research is our aim, and the mean to develop new ideas and obtain relevant discoveries, we are commited to its projection to the genesis of novel and innovative products of relevant economical impact. The developmental phase allows that each new discovery be transferred to solve critical and useful need in our society. Undoubtedly, this has a social as well as an economical value.
Research and development are concepts that are intimately related and that lead to generate innovation, finally the last goal that has determined the level of development of a society or a country. Innovation is the introduction of new ideas, products, services and procedures with the purpose to be useful in the contexts by which the invention is developed1. An essential element of innovation is its commercial applicability in the global economical context. Research, development and innovation are the elements that distinguish the group of developed countries with those that still remain as underdeveloped countries. It is also what determines the difference between an enterprise with the capacity to adapt to the needs of the modern world and enterprises that do not invest in innovation and technology.
