QUALITY OF LIFE: TO PREVENT RATHER THAN TO TREAT Every day becomes more critical to improve the quality of life and the quality of labor activity, events that results to be extremely expensive if a company try to do at once. Then, the major issue is how to obtain the highest standards of life quality in the enterprise, considering that most people complaints that is overstressed? In this context, the concerns of small and large bussines entreprises make sense, in order to incorporate social commitments and life quality as an integral part of of enterprise programs, as well as the need to ponderate the working demans with the personal and familiar life of the employees. Life quality is a key paradigm for an equilibrated physical and mental health. Aging with quality of life is something that starts from the early human life, as a child. It allows us not only to enjoy life, but also to prevent many disorders that are prevailing in our current society: coronary diseases, diabetes, cancer and Alzheimer´s disease. Societies with the highest levels of development and GIPC (income per capita) higher than USD20,000 a year, have learned that education in quality of life is criucial for a sustained development, and the concept has been introduced in the enterprise as part of human resource areas. This benefits business activity with a high level of entrepreneurship and competitiveness. The workshops strategy developed by NEUROINNOVATION has been highly succesful in this sense, provinding the knowledge on how to control nutritional factors, exercise and styles of life to attain an equilibrated stage of health and aging with life quality. In our experience education in “LIFE QUALITY” as a global concept impact positively at least at three major levels on the working life of individuals: decrease the fatigue during daily labor periods, increase the awarness threshold (an inpairment of this may cause accidents and induce mistakes), and decrease irritability on interpersonal relationships. In summation, this results in a higher productive, improvement of the organizational atmosphere at work and substantially decrease labor absence. Each NEUROINNOVATION workshop consist of 5 major teaching units of 100 min each, including an interactive discussion of 15 min. The shedules are define by every group and human organization. Workshops are about 8 – 9 hours in total and include a practical session on relieving stress. |
